Gear Individualized IR Patches from KOTAC David Reeder May 9, 2014 0 COMMENT IR patches and similar personal identifiers are increasingly popular in “our” world, but they can be expensive. Most places have minimum order quantities (MOQ) that make individual orders cost prohibitive. Not so with KOTAC. KOTAC patches (vinyl, faced with a MILSPEC IR material that mates to the surface completely) can bought one at a time. I know this because they were kind enough to outfit Q (the photographer from Q Concepts) and I for our trip to Jordan. KOTAC has many different patch options and no MOQ. All are made with real Velcro (as opposed to one of the other hook & loop brands) and an adhesive rated to withstand temperatures ranging from -20° to 225°F. They are water resistant, but not rated to withstand a thorough laundering. Most KOTAC patches use standard military stencil font, though you can request others. Available colors include black, OD, coyote, “urban wolf grey”, MultiCam, blood red and many others. If those aren’t reasons enough, keep in mind also that Alex Ko is a good dude and a small businessman worthy of support. Get a quote or learn more about KOTAC on the KOTAC Facebook page.
