Featured Roll Hard and Knife Combo from RYP and DPX Gear David Reeder August 6, 2013 0 Comments Robert Young Pelton and DPx Gear is running a limited special if you’re interested in either their HEST II Assault or HEFT 4 Assault knife and a signed advance copy of the graphic novel ROLL HARD for $99 (offer here). The DPx HEFT 4 Assault is 0.19” thick German Lohmann Niolox 1.4153.03 stainless, high-performance blade steel cryo-hardened to 61 Rockwell hardness. It’s got a black satin TiCN PVD coat, hollow handle, 1/4″ magnetized hex driver, integrated striker pommel, bottle opener, lashing points and lanyard hole and contoured black G10 scales. It ships with a black Cordura sheath and is manufactured in Italy. RYP describes it as a military knife that seems to “…hit the sweet spot with special operations folks.” The DPx HEST II Assault is a lower profile version of the original Hostile Environment Survival Tool. It is also 0.19-inch thick Niolox tool steel with a black TiCN PVD coat. It features a revised pry bar angle, a wire stripper with jiming and hard lashing points and a thumb grip/bottle opener. ROLL HARD is a graphic novel by Robert Young Pelton (RYP) and Billy Tucci. It recounts some of what you may have read in Licensed to Kill: Hired Guns in the War on Terror. It recounts the story of PSC contracted security personnel from Blackwater running “RPG Alley” (Route Irish) and the streets of Baghdad under the cover of the Little Bird pilots contracted to fly overwatch. RYP tells me there are a few more wicked cool things coming soon from DPx Gear and RYP in his role as author (including some new developments on Come Back Alive)…unfortunately I can’t really talk about any of them in any detail yet (or at all). I’ll advise further when we get closer to their release date. Meantime watch the DPx Gear Facebook page.
