shot 108 rounds thru my new sd40ve and it failed to feed twice. Tapped the end of the magazine on the palm of my hand and continued to shoot. My gun expert said not bad for a new pistol ! …and lets face it, you usually get what you pay for. I like it, its a keeper. PS.. we had an M & P and a XDS that also had issues that day.

what is a block? Did yall buy your sd4ove new? I did, ive shot the piss out of it and have had no problems. All my friends have glock 40 23 and 17, and theirs jams before mine will. I’d much rather spend two hundred less and stick with my S&W

I just picked the sd40ve yesterday. Pulled it out of the box and shot from 25 yards. With in 3 shots hit the water bottle I set up. The test was purely just to get some rounds through it. No feed or ejection problems recoil rate was plenty fast enough. Im standing behind it. I’ve spent weeks reviewing the gun. And to what I have read and seen with it. I put it right up there with the glock or ruger. I had my eye on all three and am very pleased with my decision. Unless your using it in a shooting match witch most aren’t its perfect for the price. If you research and review, you can expect what to see when buyin and what you can hange to improve.

I bought one just a few weeks ago ( 9mm) it works awesome, one of the two clips that came with it had some isues, i checked it and it turned out it was not holding together, bent back a couple tabs and no probs, shot about 600 rounds already, need to slow down with the ammo shortage

I bought one of the SD40 VE’s before the “new ban” hysteria hit for $299. That’s the only good thing I have to say about it. The trigger is almost as bad as the original Sigma’s. The sights are regulated 12″ too low at 50′. I broke the slide release spring in half trying to get the firing block to stay in place while reinstalling the trigger pin. It sprays Winchester 165′s and 180′s all over the left side of a standard B 57 profile target, so I have no testimony as to accuracy potential. If you are defending yourself with one of these POS when someone comes after you, you’ll be better off just throwing it at him. It is no doubt the worst S&W I have ever owned. I can’t believe they put their logo on it.

The trigger is for home defense . so its a little long and is about 8lbs. I bought this gun for $ 285 at cabelas, and i installed a trigger kit for 20 $ reduced to 5.5lbs and is very nice. I think its funny how people buy stuff without any research, then hate it and say things like” im going back to Glock” its your loss. this is a great economical gun.

i purchased new for $299. It is a great gun.
No problems at all. it does anything a Glock does.
i can purchase 2 S&W SD VE (9mm & 40) for $100 more than the price of a new Glock

I have the SD9VE and I love this pistol. I have large hands and it fits perfectly as well as my wife’s tiny hands. Never had a miss feed or any problems with firing this pistol. For personal use this is a perfect handgun.
