The rifle is a variant of EraThr3's Project Anorexia limited edition builds, coined “The Skinny Gun.” It was designed with Clint Smith to be super lightweight, accurate, and simply deadly (or deadly simple, whichever you prefer). The upper and lower are billet and skeletonized to save weight. Titanium parts are used throughout, and the gas tube is even made of inconel. And the heart of the rifle is the match grade PROOF Research stainless and carbon fiber barrel. Add to this an S&B Short Dot in a Spuhr mount, and you can clearly see that no expense is spared. Note the trigger is an ALG Defense ACT — simple, reliable, and bulletproof, but not an expensive unit. Just as well, since trigger preferences are very personal, so if you have a favorite aftermarket trigger you'll have no compunction about swapping them.

Thunder Ranch's new Urban Precision Rifle course combines its time tested doctrines of Precision Rifle and Urban Rifle. The new format addresses the surgical application of scoped rifles to urban and compressed environments. Most documented precision rifle shots are actually performed at shorter ranges in compressed timeframes — often at complex targets. The curriculum covers safety, use of cover and concealment, engagement of moving targets, hostage type targets, firing from elevated platforms, alternate and awkward firing positions, scenarios, and numerous other topics.
