The TigerSwan Range Complex Needs YOU

Fire Mission!

This is a call to arms on behalf of the TRC (TigerSwan Range Complex) in Stedman, NC. If you, friends or family members are anywhere near Fayetteville, NC (or anywhere in Cumberland County for that matter), please attend the Cumberland County Planning Board vote on October 1st.  The Planning Board will be voting on a zoning ordinance that could shut the range down.

If you are unfamiliar with TigerSwan, it is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Business. Founded 8 years ago by former members of The Unit (1st Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta), TigerSwan has long since established a reputation for delivering excellent training. Since its inception it has provided specialized instruction to thousands of students from nearby Ft. Bragg, across the country and internationally, including not just military personnel and LEOs, but trained and educated responsible armed citizens.

In just a few days that could change. On October 1st the Cumberland County Planning Board will vote on a new zoning law that will ultimately determine whether the TigerSwan Range Complex remains open. The new conditional zoning law affects all prospective new ranges that might want to open doors and firing lines for business in Cumberland County.

After this vote the Planning Board's recommendation will go to the County Commissioners who will themselves conduct the final vote on October 21st. If TRC remains open, it will continue to support the training efforts of many area military and law enforcement personnel. Likewise it will continue to provide a place for shooting enthusiasts to practice, train and hone their skills.

Make no mistake however, this is about more than TRC. This legislation could affect any commercial shooting property in Cumberland County. You can be assured everyone opposed to public shooting ranges and all the “anti-gunners” will be there.

Please take heed of this vote, even if you've never attended been to the TRC. Attend one or both meetings if you are able; October 1st at 7pm at the Cumberland County Old Courthouse for the Planning Board meeting. October 21st at 7pm for the County Commissioner meeting.
