Accu-Grip Releases grip for AKs

It's been a big year for the Kalashnikov. One unintended consequence of President Obama cutting off Russian Saiga imports was a surge of importation from non-prohibited countries, and for the first time, domestically produced guns. While the AK aftermarket has always been rich, we've also seen a significant increase in that sector (whether you like it or not). Accu-Grip came up with an adjustable AR grip, allowing you tune how far your hand lands from the trigger. Traditionally this is performed either by complete grip replacement or by the addition of back straps. Here's what the AR version looks like:

The AK version is a derivative. Noteworthy that there is no tall backstrap, as the flat bottom of an AK receiver doesn't allow for it. They say it fits all common stamped receiver variants but not the milled. Here's what they have to say about it:

This new grip fits the AK-47 and will increase trigger control and shooter efficiency resulting in better accuracy and fire control.

The key to accurate and quick shooting is trigger control and trigger control can be improved by correct contact between the trigger finger and the trigger. The basic trigger length of an AK-47 is only 2 3/8 inches.
The AK-47 Accu-Grip allows the shooter to lengthen and incrementally adjust the critical grip-to-trigger contact–up to 3 1/4- inches if desired. This distance (with any rifle) is a key ergonomic factor and fitted correctly can greatly improve trigger control resulting in more accurate and faster shooting.

After installation, adjusting the grip to fit the individual shooter takes just a few seconds. Movement of the grip is accomplished in 1/10-inch incremental positive hold adjustments and, of course, the grip may be adjusted as many times as the shooter wishes.

MSRP is $39.95. If this is something that you're interested in, you can get more information here.
