Blackhawk Brings New Products to SHOT Show 2018

Introducing new kydex holsters, multi-point slings, packs and cases, and a new QD sling the Blackhawk told us that it’s been busy creating newness that bridges the civilian world and the tactical community.

The stand-out product for Blackhawk is the Multipoint Sling. Offered in either black or coyote tan, the sling features a rapid adjustment slider buckle designed for speedier rifle transitions. Just like the name suggests, the sling also offers multiple all-steel quick detach mounting points. Blackhawk reps demonstrated the speed one-handed swapping abilities, moving the sling from a two-point to a single-point.

In addition to QD mounts Blackhawk will supply HK mounts as well. Wide nylon webbing disperses weight for comfort and features a break point at around 280-pounds. The Multipoint Sling comes in five total models with prices starting at $39 and topping out at $79.

Also new to the table is the Knoxx AR handguard line in both M-LOK carbine and mid-length versions with QD mount already equipped. The Knoxx AR Handguard is built from polymer to reduce weight on AR builds. Blackhawk says the construction is also heat resistant with an integrated aluminum shield pushing heat away from the hand.  Both the mid-length and carbine models are available in black and FDE hitting the under $40 mark.

Blackhawk ventures into new kydex holster styles with IWB, OWB, and IWB/OWB options in the mid-price range. Blackhawk covers a majority of popular brands and pistols such as Glock, Kahr, Smith & Wesson, and Sig Sauer. The holster provides some adjustability with an adjustable belt mount and the ability to swap between IWB and OWB on the IWB/OWB model. Though Blackhawk fits the holsters with a flexible backing, it felt slightly stiff though Blackhawk said it works itself out over time.

Finishing out the new products for 2018 is a new pack series providing laser cut MOLLE backpacks and rifle cases. Due out in February, the Stax and Stingray ship in your choice of Coyote Tan or Black. The Stax backpack delivers a more rounded design in either EDC or 3-Day configurations. The Stingray, on the other hand, introduces three models — An EDC, 2-day, or 3-day models. Price varies based on model but low end on the EDC is $130ish.
