Concealed carriers in need of a training barrel to outfit their Glock during dry fire practice will soon have another option courtesy of Dynamis Alliance.
Dynamis Alliance opened pre-orders for its Combative Training Barrel last week, indicating that the barrels will ship sometime in March (though no specific ship date has been announced).
The Combative Training Barrel is designed to work with Gen. 4 Glock 19s or Glock 17s as a training tool for gun owners looking to get do a little dry fire or combative training practice. The barrel temporarily replaces Glock’s factory barrel, delivering a blocked off construction that prevents accidental loading.
The aluminum barrel is anodized in a bright, highly visible red coating to ensure that training partners can visually see and understand that the barrel is a dud and not the real deal. Made in the U.S.A., the barrel offers interchangeable barrel lengths to customize the barrel to either the G17 or G19.
The Combative Training Barrel is durable and, according to Dynamis Alliance, it's a necessary tool to add to the training repertoire.
“This barrel allows you to train combatives and weapons manipulations with your Glock 17 or 19, making your training even closer to reality,” the company commented.
Though the Combative Training Barrel is limited to the Glock 17 and 19, Dynamis Alliance hinted on social media that more Glock models might be in the works; however, no specifics were offered.
The Combative Training Barrel can be pre-ordered from Dynamis Alliance for $84.
