Most steel “walking” targets are welded, multi-piece units that can break. But a new, creative approach on walking reactive targets has arrived, courtesy of ArmyProperty.com. ArmyProperty.com is importing the Spanish-made Flip Target EXTREME series. They are laser cut from one solid piece of extra-heavy AR500 grade steel and twisted into shape with no screws or welding, removing any need for weak seams and joints. The designer, Jorge Martinez, has a post-graduate degree in industrial design which shows through clearly in the target’s elegantly simple, one-piece form.
Flip Targets give clear feedback with every hit: toss one of these “jack”-shaped steel targets out on the range, and with each accurate hit it rolls away from the shooter and presents a new target face.
The Model 1200 for .22LR and Model 2000 for 9mm/.40S&W are certified to be impact resistant and anti-ricochet. The AR500 steel is chemically treated to eliminate reflection, corrosion, and oxidation. The surface is easily repainted or stickered for visibility.
A lighter version specifically for pellet guns that is manufactured of POLEX, a patented polymer, is also available.

The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services.
Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea. If you'd like to see a sampling of the companies who will be showing at this year's SHOT, there's a live map right here, though it doesn't reflect the organizations set up elsewhere, in hotel suites, etc.
