Friday Night Gun Porn: SHOT Show through the Firelance Lens

Matt Stagliano looks and sounds like a strangely well groomed, unusually well educated gunslinger villain from a Peckinpah movie or Dick Richards flick. He is also a phenomenal photographer, videographer, “brand awareness” kinda guy — I'm not sure if that's actually a real term, but it's the closest I can get. “Marketing guru” and “PR guy” are woefully insufficient terms for the melange of creative business whatsit coiling about within his skull.

But I digress. What you'll see below are just a few of his images, courtesy of Firelance Media. If you live in Maine (or the Arctic, I can't remember which) and you need a professional photographer, or some video taken, or some guidance on how to establish your business brand without sounding like you've been listening to infomercials (or resorting to using large-bosomed “brand ambassadors”) you might oughta look him up.

In any event, this is supposed to be gun pr0n. So on with the imagery already.

Not Matt Stagliano, but close. That's Frank Culpepper.

Interested in what it was like to be at SHOT as part of Firelance Media? Read what he has to say about it here. He brings an interesting perspective to things, not least because of his background.  A former corporate business SME, Stagliano has negotiated the mergers of multi-million dollar companies, developed programs to integrate employees of multiple nationalities into comprehensive business teams, and consulted on both mid- and long-term business strategy for a number of big name (Fortune 500) companies. As you can imagine, that give him a substantially different point of view (or at least a different lens) than those of us who “grew up guns” in the industry.

He's also been featured in iQ Magazine, is virtually myopic about improving his skills, and looks a lot like Chris Costa. So there's that.

Nope, not Stagliano. Beard isn't dark enough (but the booze is right). That's Cable Hogue.

You can find Firelance Media on Facebook here if you're so inclined. They're online here, and have a pretty interesting blog if you want to do a little reading.

Or, if you're like me and just want to oooh and aaaah about all the pretty pictures, check out the Firelance Instagram page, @firelancemedia.
