Go Learn: Corey Lack Photography Lighting Workshop

Since first writing for Military.com then coming to RECOIL I've been privileged to meet and work with many great photographers – Quoc Ha, Shin Tanaka, Roy Lin, Matt Stagliano, Ning Wong, Natalie Cake, Jae Gillentine, Rob Curtis, Jody Lewis, Jason Swarr and many more. Others I know only by reputation. One of those is Corey Lack Corey Lack Photography (which is ironic, because he only lives about 20 minutes away from me).

Apparently CLP is holding a photography workshop here in just a couple of weeks, and while I realize this isn't the typical firearm/defensive training we'd normally talk about¹, it seemed imminently suitable to share. Almost anyone who enjoys the outdoors, “adventure” type activities or firearms wants to immortalize their achievements in picture or video. Here's a chance to learn a little more about doing that very thing.

The CLP Learn-Light-Shoot workshop will be held from 1800 to 2200 (6pm to 10pm) on Friday the 27th of March in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

¹Any good training regimen should include more than range time, if the opportunity presents itself. The exact topics will of course be dependent on where you live, what you do, your environment and abilities, etc. Shoot/don't shoot, medical concerns, the law, situational awareness/tracking/threat assessment and many other topics should be considered. This isn't to say you have to spend a prince's ransom or the equivalent of Iain Harrison's wardrobe allowance on professional classes – there are many inexpensive ways to learn – but you should definitely be thinking about all those things.
