GORUCK has expanded into apparel: come December they will be offering the Challenge Pant, the Simple Pant, and the Rucking Shirt.
The Challenge Pant is described as “…the ultimate pant for GORUCK events, rucking, or hiking. If you're outdoors and you're moving, you want to be wearing these.” It will be available in Dark Grey, Coyote and Black Olive. They describe the Simple Pant as equally tough but, “…simple enough to wear to work. With an athletic jean cut, you can comfortably wear these anywhere all day long.” The Rucking Shirt, they say, will “…The Rucking Shirt will keep you looking good and feeling good no matter where you're at or what you're doing. No collared shirt has ever been this tough.”
GORUCK apparel is made in the USA. Defects in materials or workmanship will continue to be replaced or repaired at their discretion — repaired, when possible, over replaced because,
We believe in building the best and we believe scars are character and should be repaired, not replaced. The best things in life get better with time.
Said GORUCK, in response to the inevitable comment about prices,
“The price is a direct result of being made in the USA. We just can not make them here and sell them for less. Wee feel really good about where we are pricing them considering they are USA built and with a heck of a warranty.”
We're not sure what the price fuss is about anyway. Compared to other ‘adventure apparel' out there GORUCK's stuff seems reasonable enough.
Asked about sizing for “big and tall” wearers, they advise,
“We selected sizing based off data we got from some very respected sizing companies. There is no way we were going to get it 100 percent correct. We just didn't want to have 25 sizes out of the gate. More sizes equal mores patterns equals more minimums, etc.”
So clearly more sizes are coming in the future.
