Hidden in Plain Site with Tactical Walls

When it comes to home defense preparation, the ability to keep your firearm, magazines, and other necessary tools easily accessible can be challenging. The right compromise between weapon security and accessibility can become a real conundrum, especially if you have frequent house guests or little ones running around. Unless you're a hermit, keeping a handgun on the nightstand is a no-go. Even when children and visitors aren’t an issue, protecting your firearms from uninvited guest who might visit while your not home should be a priority.

Tactical Walls came on the scene a few years ago with their “hidden in plain sight” solution. Their wall-mounted concealment designs feature mirrors and photo frames that magnetically lock and slide away to reveal whatever cache of weapons and tools the homeowner deems necessary. The upside is a high-concealment storage unit that offers quick access via a small magnetic key. The downside, of course, is that security is based on concealment rather than mechanics.

With many customers expressing a need for a more secure solution, Tactical Walls introduced two new security products, the 1420L Concealment Locker and the 1420S Concealment Safe.

Inside the Tactical Walls Concealment Locker

The Concealment Locker features the classic framed cover but offers a steel keyed locker. The magnetic lock can be removed for the concealment cover to eliminate the extra lock. The cover is available as a mirror, chalkboard, dry erase board, or custom image.

The Concealment Safe offers an additional level of protection over the keyed locker. With the same concealment features, this steel safe has a programmable electronic keypad lock and comes with two back up keys.

Both units require a hole to be cut into the drywall for recessed mounting on 16-inch center studs. All mounting hardware and a drywall cutting template is included with each unit for fast and easy installation.

For those requiring less security without the permanent mounting, Tactical Walls has some new surface mounted units. Their Flags of Valor Concealment Flag unit has a handcrafted American flag, each of which is uniquely made be combat veterans and signed on the inside. They also have a Concealment Art unit which has the original patent drawings of the Browning 1911 or the Glock 17.
