We have reviewed the SureGrip Padded “War Belt” before. It is a great piece of gear (see below). Lab Zero Production filmed a video giving it an overview sometime back. We'll run it again here today to help with some of the questions that have been e-mailed in or sent via Facebook. The SureGrip Padded Belt and ancillary pieces make for a great system – I've never used the Bridge Mounting stuff myself (it would seem to appeal to a very niche group of end users) but I can honestly say I've never regretted buying any of the HSGI gear I have used.
Note also that HSGI is giving away a SureGrip and pouches in just a few days.
Freddy Osuna has been wearing it now for about a year. It still serves to carry all his “level 2 gear” (all necessities for 3 day operations) on a daily basis as he teaches at Combat Hunter, Camp Lejeune.
“The 1st and most impressive aspect of the belt is the comfort factor. I have had my hips rubbed raw for the majority of my adult life by utility belts and pack belts of various sorts. When I first tried this set up I anticipated that there would naturally be some level of friction. I was wrong! The neoprene, gel-like padding of the inside of the belt was amazingly comfortable, and because the neoprene gripped so well it caused less friction to the belt line. The belt’s ability to conform to the waist/belt line with that padding while simultaneously supplying positive grip reduces friction in this area like no other utility belt I have ever worn.” Freddy Osuna
