The Industry Choice Awards for 2018 were recently awarded at Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky. A group of evaluators gathered earlier in the year to inspect, review, and test product submissions from manufacturers. With continuing growth in awareness and interest in the Industry Choice Awards, more submissions were received and the number of product categories were expanded from 8 to 13. Evaluators tested the products and provided unbiased numerical ratings and qualitative feedback.
Their ratings, across fit, finish, form, and function, were tabulated and ranked. Then a few weeks ago, companies and their representatives converged on Rockcastle for two and a half days — to shoot the Firearms Industry Team Challenge and to attend the awards ceremony. The team competition was a fantastic match, designed by Match Director Andy Horner. It incorporated a wide range of firearms and shooting disciplines, from 3-gun to long range to pistol to sporting clays. Not only was it a blast, it was a wonderful way for everyone to network and get to know others in the industry on a much more personal level.
