Bullets and Bagels, with a Schmear of TAVOR and a side helping of Joe Mantegna. That's how they're describing the IWI-sponsored Bullets and Bagels upcoming event at Raaahauges Range in Corona California.
IWI US, Inc., the Harrisburg PA based subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries Ltd. is donating two TAVOR rifles to the shindig. Both will be auctioned off to support Friends of the IDF. Friends of the IDF is an organization that supports the men and women of the Israeli Defense Forces. The also assist families of fallen IDF personnel.
The auctioneer for the event will be actor Joe Mantegna; it will be held the day after tomorrow (August 23rd).
Michael Kassnar, VP of Sales and Marketing for IWI US, put it simply.
“IWI is proud to support the Jewish community. ‘Bullets & Bagels' allows all who love guns, great food and Israel to get together, eat, shoot and shoot the breeze. It'll be a blast. Don't be surprised if you see me there myself. I could always go for some bagels and lox with a side of TAVOR.”
Mantegna played SA David Rossi on Criminal Minds and was Joey Zasa in The Godfather Part III. He's also the voice of Fat Tony on The Simpsons.
Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to shoot the TAVOR on the range while receiving basic shooting instruction from an NRA-certified instructor. Food will be provided.
Says Dr. Fred Kogen, founder of Bullets & Bagels,
“We're very happy that IWI is sponsoring our event. Its iconic weapons have long protected the Jewish people and secured the freedom of Israel. It'll be a real treat to let my friends at the event shoot the TAVOR…”
