Limited Run of Blue Force Gear Vickers Medic Sling

Blue Force Gear resurrects its Vickers Medic Sling for a limited time only, re-launching the rifle sling late last week.

With only a couple of days left in the winter sling promotion, Blue Force Gear says that once the Vickers Medic Sling is gone, it’s gone for good.

Birthed from input received from combat medics, the Medic Sling aims to offer dual adjustability without the nuisance of the “flopping tail” commonly associated with other slings. When in use, the sling can be adjusted like any other Vickers sling; but takes the design a step further, adding a second adjuster with a wide range of adjustments to tweak tension.

The 1.25-inch Cordura webbing secures on both ends using included triglides. Blue Force Gear says its webbing snakes through sling swivels and loops in addition to offering fits with most sling hardware. The Medic Sling is compatible with standard M4 carbines and most other rifles.

Providing a length range of 26-inches to 66-inches when fully extended, gun owners looking for some pops of color will be pleased to note the sling ships in four tones — Coyote Brown, Black, Multicam, and the crowd pleasing OD Green.

Blue Force Gear says the sling first appeared as a limited time release but was such a hit, the company returned it to stock for a limited run.

“The Vickers Medic Sling was one of our very first limited release slings in our early days. Ever since it’s limited run, people have asked about it, and now the people have spoken,” the company said in a statement.

Shooters can nab the Vickers Medic Sling from Blue Force Gear while supplies last. The sling slips into the sub-$70 category.
