We can all agree that you can never have too many guns or magazines. Mission First Tactical has just introduced another outlet for your disposable income — their new Extreme Duty 5.56 Polymer Magazine for AR-15 compatible platforms.
Joining their Standard Capacity Polymer Magazine in the lineup, the new Extreme Duty magazine utilizes their latest long glass fiber polymer materials to provide a solid balance of strength, rigidity, durability, and weight.
The magazine’s polymer construction resists deformation and fatigue while maintaining structural integrity, even in high temperatures. The spring is USGI-spec stainless steel, and the follower is four-way anti-tilt and self-lubricating. The bolt catch is oversized to provide additional tolerance for your particular lower.
Compared to MFT’s standard magazine, the Extreme Duty is an ounce heavier (4.9 versus 3.9 ounces). The redesigned magazine body is a little chunkier and features ribs on the front and rear as well as a flared floor plate to make it easier to grip and rip. They still fit easily in standard AR mag pouches. There are dual floor plate safety release tabs for simple disassembly without tools. It also has a dot matrix so that you can mark your magazines as desired for easy identification.

The new Extreme Duty magazines are available in black and tan. MSRP is $12.99. They also boast a lifetime warranty. We look forward to shaking them out at the range.
