Kalifornia Governor Jerry Brown is apparently going to take legislative action on firearms today before departing on a family vacation in Italy. A number of gun-restriction bills were sent to the Governor's office yesterday by anti-gun members (Gipson, Santiago, Levine, and others) of the California state congress. All of them are anti-gun, all impose on no one but honest and law-abiding firearm owners and none of them will prevent gun violence.
What a surprise. There's even talk of “ghost guns.”
Among the dozen or so measures he'll be reviewing today — in fact, in about an hour of this writing — is SB1235, which if enacted would create an ammunition buyer database that requires background checks for ammunition purchases and track how much ammunition someone buys.
Remember the clown you see in the picture above? He's responsible for SB1235.
“[Referring to the murders in Orlando] The killer sprayed that nightclub with bullets. How could someone filled with so much hate have such easy access to ammunition?” Senator Kevin De Leon
Another would limit you to the purchase of just one rifle per month, including private purchases from an individual.

When this bill was first proposed it was to establish a Kings River Groundwater Sustainability agency. AB1511 would prevent you from loaning someone your gun; it used to be about energy conservation.
