MilSpec Monkey (who probably needs no introduction here) has released a new, smaller version of the Stealth pouch – the Stealth Compact. Designed as an organizational/utility style pouch with a narrower width to improve mounting options, the Stealth Compact is built in the USA for MSM by Tactical Tailor. I've had many conversations with the Monkey and have always been impressed with his ideas about load carriage, modularity and the efficient of use of space. The development of this particular breed of utility (not quite admin) pouch is no great surprise.
The interior has less elastic than its predecessor, instead using billowed pockets to retain load flexibility while maintaining ease of access. The billowed pockets, along with relatively large primary compartment and sleeve pockets seem to give this pouch good versatility; the primary pocket opens via double zippers with an intentional limited opening, while the front tray pouch drops open almost all the way. It will mount via 2 MALICE clips to packs, armor, chest rigs, etc. as needed. Dimensions are approximately 7 in. x 4.5″ x 3″ when filled.
Note: if this isn't quite compact enough to fit your real estate constraints, stand by. He's working on an even tighter “tactical organizer.” More on that to come.
Retail is $30.00 – available in MultiCam, Coyote, Black, Foliage and Ranger Green. Purchase yours here.
