Nighthawk Custom brandishes the new Boardroom Series of pistols, showcasing the flagship model — the Chairman.
The first pistol to grace the Boardroom Series, the Chairman features a forged government size frame paired with a 6-inch barrel. Chambered in both .45 ACP and, gasp, 9mm the Chairman tips scales at 40-ounces unloaded. Measuring 9.58-inches in overall length, the gun stands nearly 6-inches tall with a width of 1.25-inches.
The 10-round capable 1911, is decked out in true Nighthawk fashion delivering a high-end look with custom extras. Windows and lightning cuts on the slide advertise the lavish looking Titanium Gold Nitride Barrel. The match grade barrel is set against a black DLC finish for a sleek looking 1911.
The Chairman touts Railscale G10 grips as well as a set of Nighthawk Custom sights. The black rear sight is fully adjustable while the front sight keeps with the black and gold theme with its gold bead style.
Nighthawk rounds out the 1911’s features with an aluminum tri-cavity trigger in addition to an ultra hi-cut front strap. Built with a long slide design, Nighthawk says the heavy slide allows the pistol to function reliably while also creating less recoil and a longer sight radius for better accuracy. Though the Chairman dazzles with its charming good looks, shooters looking to attach accessories will have to look elsewhere. While the 1911 offers some nice features, a rail isn’t one of them.
All in all, the Chairman slips into the market at just over $4,000. Of course, if you want to add a little oomph to the design and you have the cash to spare, Nighthawk Customs offers a bevy of custom options and upgrades for an additional cost.
