It allows owners to convert their single stack Commander and/or Government sized .45ACP to a .22LR. With the high ammo price of .45ACP, a .22LR conversion unit looks to be a very nice idea for those looking for a cheap .22 pistol plinker or practice round, while still using their familiar Nighthawk Custom 1911 frame.
