OTTO Communications designs and manufactures communication accessories while specializing in mission-critical equipment for the two-way radio market. This year at SOFIC, OTTO revealed one of their newest products- the LynQ Long-Range Location Tracker. It may not seem new, but the LynQ has some truly unique features.
One of the most notable features of this product is that it doesn't need cellular networks or WiFi. LynQ uses proprietary technology which and algorithms to blend GPS signals with long-range, low-power radio frequency communication to connect devices. To use the devices, team members simply sync up their devices and go their way. The system provides outdoor location tracking for teams of up to 12 people in crowds, remote areas, combat/tactical situations, rugged terrain, and many other areas. LynQ has a real-time display that gives distance and direction information for team members. Most importantly, it provides a completely secure, closed private network between all of the paired devices.
LynQ devices are weatherproof, water-resistant, and military-tested to ensure that they will continue to perform even when faced with difficult conditions. Users will not need to purchase any apps in order to use LynQ and there are also no monthly fees. Here are some more details on LynQ:
