I haven't always been a Danner girl. In the past, I often opted for cheaper boots and shoes. A year or so ago I finally bought a pair of these brilliant, classic boots and I will never look back. I'm now several pairs of boots deep into my Danner obsession, and the Mountain 600's with Enduroweave have been the best yet. Before I go into what I like and love about these boots, here are a few specs:

For starters, let's talk about aesthetics. The Timberwolf color, which looks more grey in person, paired with subtle plum-colored laces, makes these shoes a good pair with a wide variety of clothing colors. The Enduroweave fabric is truly unique. I tried endlessly to capture the texture of this fabric in a photograph appropriately, but I just couldn't do it justice. According to Danner, Enduroweave is a lightweight textile with a carbon wash, making it both breathable and durable.
The look of these boots lends itself to various styles of clothing. I have dressed these boots up for a night out, worn them on the gun range, hunted in them, and grocery shopped in them. I wear them EVERYWHERE, which brings me to my next point…comfort.
These are arguably the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I can wear them all day without soreness. True to their design, they are not waterproof or insulated. However, I have worn them comfortably on the range on days ranging from 40 to 80 degrees with no issues whatsoever. They live up to their claims of breathability, as my feet remain nice and dry even when wearing them for long periods of time.
As far as functionality is concerned, I again have no complaints. The sole provides excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Speed hooks make them very easy to lace and keep them nice and tight. As well, the boots have a chord that runs down the middle of the laces and holds them nicely in place, a small but noteworthy feature. These boots are also offered in a brown color and a black color. While they definitely look like boots, they feel like some sort of magical boot/sneaker hybrid, and overall, I would recommend them.
*As recommended by multiple reviews, I ordered mine in a half size down, and the fit was spot on.
