When news of the Shield Arms S15 magazine for the Glock 43X and Glock 48 surfaced, there was a lot of talk about it on social media for good reason. Since the launch of the 43X and 48, I personally suspected that there was enough room inside the magwell to stuff more bullets in there without increasing the grip. Shield's S15 magazine confirmed my suspicions and it makes the Glock 43X and 48 more attractive than they previously were.
Since the mags were announced at the beginning of March, there has been a ton of interest in the all-metal magazines but no concrete information about when the magazines would be released until now. Shield Arms says the mags flush fit and will work with factory magazine catches, but they are also offering an aluminum magazine catch for those looking for a more robust catch.
Shield arms opened up pre-orders for the 15-round Glock 43X/48 mags over the weekend, which should be expected to ship sometime in October.
It appears that Shield hit their target MSRP of $39.99 per mag. They also have a three-pack of mags with an included mag catch for $124.00 and an “EDC Kit” that includes three 15-round mags, two +5 mag extensions, and the aluminum mag release.

More from Shield Arms:
Today we launched the highly anticipated pre-order for the S15 magazine, a flush-fitting 15 round magazine for the Glock® 43X and Glock® 48. For those of you who have been waiting for this, today is the day!
For a limited time, we are taking pre-orders on the first production run of the S15 magazine. Demand will be greater than supply for the first few months, so we decided to launch a pre-order for those of you who have been with us since the beginning of this project, as a way to say thank you and to ensure you get mags before everyone else. We expect to start shipping pre-orders in October, and we will ship them in the order they are received.
We are also taking pre-orders on the S15 +5 mag extension and our aluminum Glock® 43X/48 mag catch, with a combo pack option available as well.
