First Look: Smith & Wesson 9mm FPC

MOVE OVER KEL-TEC, THERE IS A NEW FOLDER IN TOWN

NEW from Smith & Wesson comes the FPC in 9mm! A folding pistol caliber carbine that takes a lot of design elements from the S&W M&P line of pistols. This optics-ready PCC has a total length of just over 30” and a folded length of a hair over 16”.

Shipping with 3 M&P magazines (one 17-round and two 23-round), a threaded muzzle, and a 5lbs trigger, this PCC is ready to rock from day one!

The star of the show for the FPC is the folding design that cuts the length in half for travel. Perfect for a backpack or go bag, the FPC is around 5lbs unloaded and very easy to store.

It also uses a M&P compact style grip so it can accept magazines as small as the 15-round M&P mag.

“The team at Smith & Wesson aimed to design a pistol carbine that was compatible with various M&P series pistol magazines. We exceeded that initial desire by introducing side-folding mechanics that deliver a unique compact feature and allow the user to keep their sight system mounted on the gun both in the folded and extended positions. Extra magazine storage in the buttstock, familiar M&P fire controls and reliable palmswell grip adaptors all make this new pistol carbine a great addition to the M&P family,” said John Myles, Senior Manager of New Products.

The full-sized handguard has 1913 Picatinny rail on top and M0LOK slots on the sides for maximum mounting capability. Since the FPC uses M&P magazines, you’ll be pleased to see that it also uses what is basically a M&P flat-faced trigger.

MSRP is only $660.
