The Cubed Travel Jacket

This isn't the first time we have posted some news from the folks at Clothing Arts, but this time we're a little more enthused than usual (CA makes great stuff). Clothing Arts, manufacturers of the aptly named “Pickpocket Proof Pants” have a really awesome looking jacket up on Kickstarter right now. The Cubed Travel Jacket is a waterproof shell with a bunch of pockets to keep your stuff safe from the elements and prying hands.

However, waterproof shells were born in the outdoor industry, which means they’ve been traditionally designed for extreme weather protection during specific outdoor activities like mountaineering. So shells are made with the pockets placed to stay out of the way of a harness and shoulders wide enough for swinging ice axes. This is great if you’re dangling hundreds of feet above a glacier, but impractical for daily life.

The jacket is fully taped-seamed, which means every exterior stitch is backed by a line of waterproof tape to form a total seal.

We have years of experience designing articulated patterns to facilitate complete freedom of movement, without the bulk you'll find in other technical shells. Go ahead and stretch, it feels great.
