At NRAAM 2018, Trijicon released a green dot version of its well-known MRO. Everyone's eyesight varies, and some people see green brighter and easier than red. Trijicon also says the green dot offers “a greater contrast against forest, grassland, and jungle environments.”
End-users can choose from several mounting options. One of the MRO Green Dot mounting options is a lower 1/3 co-witness levered quick-release mount.
Other than the dot color change, the differences between the red dot version are minimal. Due to a different coating on the objective lens, the green dot uses more battery life than the Trijicon MRO Red Dot. On the brightness level of “3,” the continuous battery life is one year, while the red dot is five years.
The MRO Green Dot is expected to start shipping in late summer. Depending on the mount selected, MSRP is $613 to $749.
Benefits to the Trijicon MRO System include:
Magnification: 1x
Dot size: 2 MOA
Illumination settings: 8
Objective lens: 25mm
Length: 2.6 inches
Weight: 4.1 oz (without mount)
Battery: CR2032
Waterproof rating: 100 ft
Adjustment range: 70 MOA
