Vanquest’s Falconer-27 Covert Bug-Out Bag

Today Vanquest Tough-Built Gear releases the Falconer-27, a three-layer assault pack that could also pull triple duty as a bug-out bag and an everyday-carry rucksack.  Combining elements from some of Vanquest’s most popular models, this 27-liter pack is stuffed with integrated organization features to please even the most OCD-afflicted event planner yet is built strong enough to satisfy the most hardcore of users.

The pack features a main compartment that can fillet-open so you easily access your contents at the bottom without having to dump out the items at the top. It can be personalized with hook-and-loop accessories, so you can have your gun and gear laid out securely and exactly where you prefer. The middle section also splays out and can hold larger items (think long camp knife or a small tomahawk) as well as smaller products in several pockets. Meanwhile, the outer layer can unzip like a banana peel, too, and houses an elastic-cord ladder system that’s ideal for medical gear. This area also has elastic loops that can hold pistol magazines, flashlights, or multi-tools.  Plus, there’s a CCW compartment that can also be used to hold a hydration bladder with a hose pass-through exiting from the top.

Though we haven’t gotten our stinky paws on the Falconer-27 yet, Vanquest says it’s comfortable to carry thanks to a removable waist belt with padded lumbar support, two padded shoulder straps with load-lifters, and a sternum strap.

Weighing in at 3.4 pounds and standing 18.5 by 11 by 10 inches fully extended, the Falconer-27 is made from 1,000-denier Cordura with a Teflon coating, sturdy YKK zippers, ITW’s oversized rubber zipper-pulls and all sorts of other good stuff. What’s the asking price? A cool $186.99. Also known as Project-F, the Falconer-27 comes in black, coyote tan, and wolf gray. For another 10 bucks, you can get it in MultiCam or MultiCam black.
