Wilson Combat dives into the Creedmoor pond, launching a new variant on the Tactical Hunter AR-15 series chambered in 6mm Creedmoor.

Like its name suggests, the Tactical Hunter is built for both hunters and shooters invested in the tactical and personal defense worlds. A large bore AR setup, the rifle features a threaded, 20-inch match-grade button rifled barrel ideal for suppressed shooting. The Tactical Hunter measures 35-inches in overall length and tips scales at just over 7-pounds, minus the scope. Outfitted with an adjustable buttstock, the rifle adapts to fit an array of shooters.

The Tactical Hunter comes equipped with the new Wilson Combat M-LOK rail. The 14.6-inch rail provides a lightweight yet rugged design which permits M-LOK compatible gear to readily mount along the rail.

Internally, the AR-15 is outfitted with a Rifle Length Gas System with a SLR Rifleworks Adjustable Gas Block and standard buffer wth 43 coil chrome silicon flat wire buffer spring. The company tops off the rifle with a Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit M2 and Wilson Combat/Bravo Company Starburst Gunfighter Grip in black.

The 6mm Creedmoor, a .243 caliber cartridge based on a necked-down 6.5 Creedmoor case, is enjoying popularity among competition shooters for its flatter shooting and lighter recoil. The 6mm round joins the Tactical Hunter family which already boasts 7mm-08 Remington, .308 Winchester, .338 Federal, .260 Remington, and 6.5 Creedmoor offerings.

The 6mm Tactical Hunter features an Armor-Tuff finish applied over the mil-spec hard anodized upper and lower receivers. The rifle comes standard in a green and black load-out, though Wilson Combat offers additional colors and camo options for special orders.

Base price on the Tactical Hunter AR-15 comes in at $3,195, with prices varying depending on upgrades and accessories.
