Critical Capabilities is jumping under the ZRODelta banner, announcing a merger between the two companies.

ZRODelta will retain its name while Critical Capabilities will move under the ZRODelta OEM Services heading.

Critical Capabilities delivers OEM supply-chain management solutions with manufacturing scattered nationwide. Founder Pat Harrigan said the company’s focus prior to the merger has been directed at pairing “out-of-industry manufacturing capability with OEM production requirements” — stressing quality, margins, and cash flow. Harrigan estimates roughly 15-percent of AR-15s currently sitting on FFL shelves contain parts sourced by, you guessed it, Critical Capabilities.

“To us, it’s not just about putting parts on the production floors of our clients. It’s about exploring a better way to do business—from raw material sourcing, production methodologies and procedures, logistics and WIP post-processing, staffing, distribution opportunities, and even financing,” Harrigan explained. “In short, the more successful and efficient our clients are at each level of business, the more successful we will be.”

Though better known for its DLOC reflex optics mounts, ZRODelta recently turned heads with the introduction of the Gen 2 Cowl Induction Brake — an updated take on its Gen 1 CIB. The parts and accessory company teams up with Critical Capabilities in a move ZRODelta says will increase productivity as well as efficiency of its brand and products.

“Our partnership is a natural fit for both companies,” ZRODELTA President John Birk said. “This merger allows us to vertically integrate high-volume production and distribution, innovate, and provide better products and services to our OEM clients that will improve their quality, organizational efficiency, and bottom line.”

Currently housed under Critical Capabilities is e-commerce portal UnBrandedAR.com. The site links bulk OEM AR-15 parts with a network of FFLs. Despite the pending merger, the companies say UnBrandedAR will continue operating in an effort to supply brand-less products to select retailers, big and small.
