Andrew Bottrell is one of the nicest, most sincere dudes I have ever met. He's a patriot and a passionate shooter, but he has some trouble with his reloads. Andrew is limited to working a weapon with just his right hand. He lost his left hand (and both of his legs) in Afghanistan. After serving on a Los Angeles class submarine for a few years Andrew transferred to EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), thus earning his “crab” to go with his “dolphins”. In 2011 he was severely injured in combat and has since received a medical discharge from the Navy. Since then he has done some design work (as “Bobcat Tactical Solutions”) including his most recent invention – a reloading device for pistol mags designed for individuals with significant physical limitations. Check it out. He recently took a few minutes to show his invention to RECOIL editor Iain Harrison. It's going to be built by Blade-Tech and he'll be showing it off this week at SHOT.
