Bloodsport Witness and Hunter Crossbow Shafts

Bloodsport has increased the offerings of the crossbow market with the Witness and Hunter crossbow shafts. These 100 percent carbon arrows are designed to absorb the high energy of today’s crossbows. Both the Hunter and the Witness include brass inserts to provide a better front-of-center and increase the kinetic energy. The Witness sports the patent-pending Blood Ring, which is white material on the shaft meant to gather blood and any other material the arrow passes through. The idea behind the Blood Ring is to make possible for hunters to identify where they hit the prey; the heart and lungs will provide a brighter red, a darker red is likely the liver, and green material may be a gut shot.

The Blood Ring shows plainly what kind of hit was made using the age old logic of blood types. Different organs present with different blood types and and colors. Bright red, red with air bubbles, dark red or greenish brown blood collects on the arrow and lets the hunter know what move to make next.
