Bradford G-Necker Knife at Blade Show West 2019

Bradford Knives introduced a brand new neck knife called the G-Necker at Blade Show West. This knife is made of Elmax steel. If you've never heard of Elmax, it's a third-generation powder metallurgy stainless steel. The granule size of the metal powder is very small. The performance of Elmax is far superior to S30V. Elmax is much tougher and has far better edge retention than other steels. It's also easier to finish. This makes it perfect for a small utility knife such as a neck knife.

The knife starts out as .280 stock. The blade is then thinned down to reduce weight and maintain the desired geometry. Brad, from Bradford Knives, said that the blade spine is “broken” at the top as to not affect the slicing geometry. This way you have a thicker stock in the handle for better grip and a thinner blade for better cutting.

More concealable, easier to handle and better at slicing. This was the goal that Brad set out to achieve with his G-Necker. This little knife fits perfectly in the hand, giving most people a 3-finger grip. As an EDC this little knife is available to take on big tasks. The thickness in combination with the blade makes it perfect for opening up packages, cutting rope or slicing veggies.

With knives becoming more “taboo” in the workplace and out and about this mighty little knife is perfect at the office or coffee shop. You can use it without alarming anyone around you. Its small size makes it super concealable. You can carry it on a lanyard around your neck, on a keychain or in your pocket. Additionally, since the knife has a larger grip section it can be used for bigger chores around the home or campsite.
