Federal got a big contract with the DHS and Customs and Border Protection, 5 years, Strategically Sourced, a maximum quantity of 143 million rounds of Tactical Bonded 64-grain soft point 5.56 ammo.

The cartridge selected was the Tactical Bonded 64-grain soft point. This single-award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract is a Strategically Sourced contract for all DHS components with a maximum quantity of 143 million rounds. The ordering period is for a total of five years.
