Agency Arms and Sage Dynamics team up to deliver the new Modular Magazine Release designed for Gen3 Glocks.
The MMR is the result of several years of development led by Sage Dynamics with the goal of providing Glock shooters an easy and efficient means to swap out mag release pads. The MMR’s design allows users to transfer between release pads without the need to arduously replace the entire mag release mechanism. The result, Sage Dynamics says, is an uncomplicated system boasting versatility.
“What I wanted to do was bring something to market that allowed a shooter to change out their release size based on what they’re doing,” Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics said. “Something simple, something with a screw-back. Something very easy for the end user to change out their magazine release size without having to replace the entire part or without having to purchase multiple magazine release sizes.”
The MMR kit, touted as a multi-source solution, comes with mag releases in three sizes — Concealed Carry, Everyday Carry, and Competition Carry — to bring the most options to Glock owners. The Concealed Carry size is the closest size to the factory release, featuring a design that best suits holstered carry. The Everyday Carry offers an enhanced size, with additional height as well as a forward ledge for an easier release, according to the company. Rounding out the sizes is the Competition Carry which is an oversized design that Sage says won’t interfere with overall grip.
While the MMR is limited to just Gen3 Glocks, Gen4 Glock owners will soon get their own model; though they'll have to exude a little patience. The Gen4 variant is still under development and unfortunately, no timeline has been given.
The current Gen3 MMR kit is available through Agency Arms for $59.99.
