High Threat Concealment Adds APS Holster, Evo Single Mags For 2018

High Threat Concealment continues its march towards function with its latest carry goods — the APS holster and Evo mag carrier.

Expanding on its holster platforms, HTC dropped news of the APS  (Adaptive Platform System) during the first day of SHOT with the holster going live online simultaneously. The idea driving the system is compatibility. The APS was crafted specifically to co-exist with commonly available attachment kits and accessories from Safariland, Blade-Tech, Blackhawk, and G-Code.

HTC told us they hear from consumers who want to carry HTC holsters in other configurations such as with a paddle or in a drop leg configuration. The company says they made the decision to offer its customers the tool and means in which to carry in the manner they want. The APS grants some modularity with an integrated combat loop that works with common attachment kits consumers can either purchase on their own or may already have in a box ‘o holsters.

Using 1/8-inch thick Boltaron, HTC says the APS is sturdy and rugged and, as always, keeps to the company's strict policy of Flat Dark Earth and black color schemes.

HTC says that, at the moment, gun makes and models are limited; however as consumer interest for certain products grows, so will the lineup. As it stands the holster maker says the APS supports certain Beretta, Glock, Smith & Wesson M&P, HK, and CZ pistols.

MSRP on the APS is $85.

In addition to the APS, HTC now offers an EVO single mag holder. If you’re scratching your head and wondering whether you’ve seen a single mag holder from HTC before, you have. The company says it had one but pulled it from the market to do some revamping. The single mag design re-enters the market as the EVO.

The mag keeper sports switchable hardware — belt clip or dual overhook — that can take the holder from an inside the waistband set-up to an outside the waistband. Since its hardware can be manipulated that means wearers can also tweak cant to suit their liking.

Again, if you’re looking for a bevy of colors you’re out of luck as HTC keeps with the black and FDE scheme. The EVO mag holders are available online from HTC with a price just south of $40.
