Kinetic Development Group or KDG recently released their SIDELOK mount for the Aimpoint Micro's (T1, T2, H1, H2) and others that share the same footprint. The 2.7 ounce aluminum mount is designed to offer a lower 1/3 co-witness with flip up irons.
The SIDELOK can be installed on the rail using one hand due to the design of the cam system. The cam also cant be released unless deliberately depressing a separate lock to open it (similar to a Glock trigger) . The cam system is designed to lock on tight, not be unintentionally released and grip some out of spec rails also.
The low profile design of the SIDELOK along with the skeletonized riser helps reduce weight and provide less things to get snagged on.
Kinetic Development Group will be releasing SIDELOK mounts for other common optics, such as the recently released Trijicon MRO. Keep your eyes peeled if this one wont work with the optic of your choice. MSRP on this little guy is $139 which looks to be a pretty good price indeed..
If you want to find out when other mounts are released or pick up some of KDG's other great stuff head on over to here, Facebook, or Instagram.
