Surefire just released the tenth video of their Field Notes series. These educational videos aren't necessarily all about Surefire lights (though we imagine they wouldn't be unhappy if you used them) but instead focuses on techniques to help you simply be a better and more educated shooter.
Like their first Surefire Field Notes video, the latest also features Travis Haley of Haley Strategic Partners. But he's talking about handheld lights and not weapon mounted ones.
Hey guys, Travis Haley with Haley Strategic here. Today I am going to talk to you about deliberate practice with low-light techniques with a handgun and a handheld flashlight. I know we all like to rely on a weapons mounted light a lot, which I certainly do, but I never leave home without a handheld light. So when we need to use this tool, which we should always have as a backup, or sometimes as a primary especially if you're a law enforcement officer or you just happen to choose a handheld as a primary. You need to be able to practice multiple techniques– not just get comfortable with one. Now I'm going to show you just three techniques here.
Travis breaks down three different techniques for you and gives you his approach to each of them. Check it out below:
