The M1 Carbine has a storied past as the weapon of choice for the majority of U.S. Military servicemen during World War II. The Inland Division of General Motors was the largest manufacturing contractor of the .30 caliber M1 Carbine and produced over 3 million of the firearms in different forms to supply the war effort. MKS Supply has now advised they will be marketing three of the more popular models, including the first Inland design for the M1 1944 without a bayonet lug (which are rare in their original form). It is very exciting to see a legend being put back into production and offered in brand new condition.
Other Inland models to be offered include the M1 1945 with a bayonet lug as well as the folding heavy wire stock M1A1 Paratrooper. All three carbine options are manufactured in the United States with American parts including original markings. Specific marking are placed on the inside of the stuck and under the barrel to note that these are not original models from WWII to avoid anyone passing them off as anything but newly manufactured.
The 1944 Model will be 10-round compliant for those states with magazine limitations and fear of scary bayonet lugs. The M1 1945 Carbine and M1A1 Paratrooper will come with a 15 round magazine. Buyers will also receive a replica cloth sling and oiler. You will be able to swap in larger capacity magazines that are compatible with the M1 Carbine. The Carbine will also include the standard design 1944 peep battle sights. MSRP is $1,049 for the two wood stocked models and $1,179 for the Paratrooper.
