The MLP Solid Lubricant Pen is a lacquer-like alternative to more traditional liquid weapon lubricants. It is comprised of molybdenum disulfide and “corrosion inhabiting pigments,” and is intended to be a semi-permanent, low friction application that prevents corrosion, galling, seizing and the like.
Says the manufacturer,
“Once applied, MLP Solid Film Lubricant is virtually unaffected by atmospheric and fretting corrosion, solvents, acids, oils and degreasers. It operates best at temperatures ranging from -320° to +300° degrees F. “
The MLP™ Solid Lubricant Pen comes from Birchwood Casey.®
