Elite Tactical Systems (ETS) is a manufacturer of AR and Glock magazines, best known for their transparency of materials. Their initial launch of Glock magazines was for 9mm models (see our review on their first 9mm magazine releases here). Most recently they announced the availability of their transparent Glock magazines for .40 caliber pistols and pistol caliber carbines.
Current offerings available run from 30-round extended magazines all the way down to 9-round magazines that flush fit with the Glock 27. The ETS 24-round magazine has a length of 170mm to fit within Open Division USPSA competition rules, and their 19-round magazine has a length of 140mm to be legal for USPSA Limited Division.
We're told each magazine is compatible with all .40 caliber Glocks regardless of generation. Like their 9mm models, the ETS Glock magazines feature floorplates that are easy to disassemble and can be used with any aftermarket floorplate designed for an OEM magazine.
Here's what ETS tells us about the polymers used.
New ETS Glock Mags: See-Through and .40
-Extreme Impact Resistance—won't crack or break when dropped
-Very resistant to harsh chemicals
-Superior heat, cold and UV resistance—won’t become brittle over time even when exposed to harsh environments or extreme cold
-Translucent body—allowing you to see your ammo count and type
-Creep resistant—the feed lips and body won't spread when being stored long term even when fully loaded
Also available for the .40 caliber options is the ETS Rapid Recognition System (RRS). First seen with their transparent AR-15 magazines, the RRS allows one to color code magazines via followers and floorplates.
