As you know if you've been following our NSSF SHOT Show 2014 coverage, this place is full of newer, better, higher speed and lower drag stuff. Things that range farther, shoot better, drive faster, fly higher, endure longer – you get the idea. It's interesting in the midst of all that to come across something individually made by a craftsman, often in the hands of the guys who build or design all those better, faster, higher pieces of gear.
One thing I have been seeing over and over again at dinner meetings and social functions since the show began are old school, leather-bound liquor flasks made by V Lazy J Customs. I have seen at least a dozen of them in the hands of people from Tactical Tailor, Seekins Precision, Ashbury Precision Ordnance, Panteao Productions, Breach-Bang-Clear, American Snipers, Crossbreed Holsters…you get the idea.
If you get a chance, check them out online (or drive to Mud Butte, South Dakota). Meantime, look at pictures of what we're seeing at SHOT here on our coverage page. It is being updated constantly.
