Morale patches are all but ubiquitous these days. On uniforms, on bags and pouches and LBE; they are largely everywhere. Most times when they're worn on apparel, however, they're worn on hook-and-loop pouches mounted on uniform blouses, smocks and jackets. Orca Industries provides an alternative to this, if you need something not specifically intended for “field” use (a full set of Pathfinders is not appropriate to every venue).
For those occasions, consider the Orca Industries “Tactical Mech” shirt and their morale patch ready Orca T-shirt.
The former is a 65/35 Poly-Cotton blend short sleeve work style t-shirt available in black or tan. It features a 2″ x 1″ x 5″ Velcro patch (color matched) for name/ID panels above the front pockets and a 5.5″ x 4″ patch and pocket on each sleeve. It would make for a nice cover garment, though one would need to consider whether morale patches are an indicator that the wearer is armed. These retail for $34.95.
The latter are 100% Fine Jersey Cotton t-shirts in black or custom dyed Tan 499. Each has an added die cut loop material field on the sleeves to add morale patches. (Note: Tan 499 was chosen because this is the color matched by Big Army to MultiCam products.) The tees are made in the USA and tend to run small – Orca recommends buying “one size up” from your usual choice. $24 MSRP, female cut available.
