This episode of NRA Life of Duty TV Frontlines features former members of TF Ranger returning to Somalia two decades after the fight later memorialized as “Blackhawk Down”. It was a mission that resulted in two Medals of Honor (the first since the Vietnam War). Half the men on the mission were killed or wounded; foreign policy, warfighting and mission planning were forever changed. Though 12 years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in numerous battles and acts of heroism, the fight that occurred in Mogadishu on 03 October 1993 remains one of the most singularly impactful military actions of modern US history. This video is well worth a few minutes of your time.
