This week on the Gun Room, we join Iain Harrison in the incredible Umkomaas Valley in South Africa. Iain trekked halfway across the globe in order to harvest some plains game, and he took a few toys with him in the process. One of those toys just happens to be Ruger's new precision hunting rifle, the Long Range Hunter, chambered in Iain's custom 6.5 PRC build.
This bolt-action beauty has a simple design based off of Ruger's previous platforms, but with a few more highlights. This model sports a detachable box magazine, stylish finish, and since this is RECOIL, a suppressor purchased in Johannesburg. How will Iain fare when bringing this platform up against some tough South African wildlife? Take a look and find out!
