First Look: Silencer Shop’s Ruger Mark IV Silencer Shop Host

NEW from Silencer Shop and Ruger comes the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Silencer Shop Host (SSH), a new firearm designed to work seamlessly with a suppressor. The SSH features a 3″ cold hammer forged threaded barrel with a 1″ profile, allowing compatibility with most .22lr suppressors.

This length ensures stability for any .22LR ammo and maximizes suppression by keeping velocities subsonic. The firearm boasts a durable blued alloy steel receiver with a special edition laser-engraved Silencer Shop logo and a full-size frame with serrated front and back straps and checkered 1911-style grip panels.

The firearm comes with three 10-round magazines and is packaged in a hard-sided carrying case.

One cool feature is an internal cylindrical bolt constriction that ensures sight-to-barrel alignment. The contoured ejection port gives improved case ejection while the oversized bolt ears improve durability.

1913 railing is installed on top for easy optic mounting. The safety can be mounted for right or left-handed use.

A negative, depending on how you feel, is that the SSH has a magazine safety disconnect that prevents discharge with the magazine removed.
