The SASR (Semi-Auto Scoped Rifle), the rifle configuration that gained in popularity for being able to go both ways, has gotten a lot of love in the US Military. Core Shooting Solutions, a shooting and training facility in Florida, is hosting a JP Enterprises Precision Rifle Series (PRS) match based around the SASR. Here is what they have say about the match:
Our military has utilized the semi-auto scoped rifle (SASR) for years. Their ability to rapidly engage precision targets both in close and at longer distances has provided great benefit on the battlefield.
This match is designed to test the shooters ability with a scoped semi-auto rifle. Stages will be real world scenario driven and consist of targets from 5 to 800 yards. Shooters will engage targets from a variety of positions ranging from prone to much more dynamic positions. Targets will range from 1moa to 4moa in size, with most being around 2-3moa. Shooters can expect to run between 14 and 20 stages, varying from 2 to 8 minutes in length. Stages will test a variety of skill sets that proficient shooters should possess.

Train Up/Range DayFriday will be a Train Up and Open Range Day. Shooters who choose to register for this day will be able to utilize the facility from 1000h to 1700h. There will be several stations set up with instructors demonstrating and teaching useful techniques. Shooters are free to move around and practice from any of the many positons or work with the instructors. The main lane will consist of targets from 200 to over 800 to allow shooters the ability to confirm data on site.
