We've all heard that idiotic argument – often preached, quite ironically, via 1st Amendment mechanisms just as far removed from the town criers of yore as today's rifles are from the very muskets of which they speak.
Why should they let logic, historical context or common sense sway them? Why treat one Amendment (like, say, the 2nd) with the same reverence as all the others? (You know, like the 4th, the 19th, or what the hell, even the 13th?)
