ShadowStrike Tactical Ballistic Sunglasses ooze operator-ness with its wraparound design and interchangeable lens system. The sunglasses’ wraparound layout isn't just for looks though. Revision says the design creates an unobstructed field-of-vision for wearers, keeping up with whatever environment — range or tactical — wearers deploy.
The glasses feature angular frames and a tight curvature continuing to enhance the overall look but without sacrificing function. Revision says the ShadowStrike fits “squarely, securely, and comfortably at all times.”
Optical-grade, polycarbonate lenses deliver 100-percent UV-A-B-C protection and can be swapped out via a nosepiece mechanism engineered just for the ShadowStrike. Revision says a multitude of colored lenses will be available for purchase to cover shooters performing in a variety of lighting conditions.
Founded on the idea of providing protective eyewear for the military, Revision has reached its hands into other tactical pots; but the company says it hasn’t forgotten where it started.
“Though Revision has grown considerably in recent years—now incorporating advanced helmet systems, power management solutions, and tactical communications headsets—protective eyewear remains a critical part of our business,” Jonathan Blanshay, CEO of Revision Military, commented. “The many strides that Revision has made in protective eyewear are baked into the ShadowStrike line: these sunglasses are tailored to a wide range of mission profiles; feature our leading anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings; are built for integration and comfort; and, most importantly, offer incomparable protection.”
Revision says the sunglasses, from inception, have been geared for the tactically minded with the glasses exceeding the standards put forth by the U.S. Army’s Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL). The ShadowStrike is set to be submitted for inclusion in the upcoming 2019 APEL program.
In the meantime, protect your eyes at the range with the ShadowStrike Sunglasses' standard two lens kit, with solar and clear lenses, from Revision Military for $115.
